On the Mikhail Lermentov

Last November I went to New Zealand for a 3 week holiday. The first week was spent learning how to fly gliders in the high mountains, the second was spent scaring myself silly by flying there solo, and the third was sightseeing and one day of diving.

If you ever get the chance, go to Picton and dive the Mikhail Lermentov. It's a huge cruise liner which sank in 1981 (or thereabouts) and lies in a depth of 38m, but rises a lot higher if you don't want to go so deep. I took my camera, a G9 in the Canon housing with a Sea&Sea YS 90 strobe, on only the first dive, and there are a few shots here:

This was the only dive I have ever used a G9 underwater, and our guide was belting along at a great pace, so they aren't particularly good.
