Well if you haven't been changing it every couple of trips you obviously don't need it.
They fade to nothing very rapidly.

The idea is that they sop up any residual moisture in the case so the windows don't fog.

Yes the ones i got came from RS, I bought about 300... and liberally distributed them amongst my friends. Either have some off Fi (I think she has sold her camera now?) or if not i'll send you a few

I've got loads of them, everytime we order a box of bolts there's another one. I also bought a bag of colour changers from ebay for a couple of quid.

Can't you "Recharge" them by sticking them in the microwave?

cheers

That's exactly what I was doing, until the exciting day when Saeed R and me were doing a dive off the rocks at Blackmans Bay, all the kit stood on the rocks, I had my tank on, then a big wave came in, washed Saeeds tank/bcd etc off the rocks, he leapt in finless to grab them, I picked his camera up - by the dome port - (ouch), then in my panic to try and rush the two now seperate halves away from the next wave in the set, I twanged my back, felt it give with a boing - ouuuuuch, so dropped my tank etc off in too much of a hurry, straight on MY camera, smashed the quartz port.

By the time I got it home and dismantled, I'd forgotten what I'd done with the ickle bag.

Anyway, Fiona has sent me several dozen. (Thanks Fiona - a thank-you will be inbound to Blighty shortly!)

So we've finally learned how you got to make a mess of your port.

As well, you've learned not to grab a camera by the port.

I need the emoticon for an "Evil, winking, grin" yet again.

BTW, fully repaired and operating successfully? Is it? Your camera?

I assume Saeed's system was OK because otherwise we'd have well and truly known about it.
