I still think my F10 produces better shots than my F50 underwater. Above the water the F50 wins, underwater I'm not so happy. A lot of the macro stuff I took in Thailand is out of focus!! I have many similar shots with the F10 in focus. The wide angle shots, even though they were taken at an ISO of 100 seem grainy when the colour variance is minimal, more like a 400/800 ISO shot. Whether this is caused by the compression or not I don't know.

The F10 is 6.3mp and takes a 3mb photo
The F50 is 12mp and takes a 4mb photo

Both are set on fine, I'm wondering whether Fuji are using a higher ratio for the F50.

Wow, wonderful results. I used an F30 recently in Sharm but my results weren;t as good as yours. Have problems with focussing, mind you it would help if the subject remained still a bit.

Cheers and thanks

I've just bought a small compact (not a Fuji, it's a Samsung) and I'm finding the focus dreadful at lower light levels. I like the fact my D80 wont shoot if it can't get focus, although this has meant I've missed big things when I've got the macro lens on as it just wont focus. It would seem compacts will still fire even if they can't get a focus lock (all my Olympus did the same). This leads to huge disappointment once you've downloaded.
Rob
PS Ding, nice shots

Rob,
you do know that if you switch the D80 to manual focus then it fires with out a focus lock don't you?

Of course i'm assuming your ike housing has access to the the auto/manual switch.

Obviously, it will also fire in AF-C mode (I think), but then I seem to get every shot out of focus!!
