Been having a play with this photo editing software on a few snaps I took at Wast Water over the weekend, quite pleased how easy it was to do. this was 5 photos.

If you only have the demo, then I'd suggest not buying this. All of these programmes use the code of Prof Helmut something-or-other. I use Hugin (http://hugin.sourceforge.net/). It's a open source equivilent of PTGui and looks almost identical. It's a bit of a pain to install, but once you are there it is just as good. You can also use different stitching methods - some of them aren't very sucessful on large megapixel images.

Nice panorama by the way.

I used to use Panavue for stitching maps from the OS website together so that I could upload them into my GPS. The demo version was fully functional apart from a watermark along the bottom which wasn't a problem but now they've put a load more restrictions on it It was dead easy to use once you got your head round the way it worked.

I've just discovered my camera will stitch images in memory, I knew there was a reason it came with a manual

Some of these work better than others. Although they couldn't do it "in camera", I've had 3 Olympus with this feature. The 4MP 4040, the 3MP CZ-1 and the 7MP 7070. The software worked really well for the 4040 and CZ-1, but fails loads with the 7070. The only way to get it to work properly is to use a tripod. What I've noticed with several of the packages available is that the more megapixels you have, the more likely you are that one of the images will be misplaced.

I've now got a panoramic head for my tripod, so stitching even of full spherical panoramas works perfectly everytime.
