Talking Turbknob complete!!

The problem: None of the 1/4" Whitworth bolts that we got with Kirstie's lens mount or my flash bracket were long enough to go through both brackets.

The solution: Call the nice guys at Cameras Underwater and buy one.

The creative solution: Get a Coke lid, some Araldite, a UNF bolt and a dremmel and spend more in parts and effort to make one

Laydeeez and gennelmen, I give you the Turbknob.

It's truly a triumph of function over form and I don't really think that Cameras Underwater, Woz, Narked at 90 or Kent Tooling have got too much to worry about , still, it works!

Ayethankyou

Yes, but if you look at a Coke cap (or a sodawater one) you'll see that they have a strengthening pattern on the inside like a Trivial Pursuit holder.
I was only hand holding the drill, I suppose I could have drilled a pilot hole , however that would leave me nowhere to go for product development, wait 'til the Mk II New Improved Turbknob (actually I wouldn't wait if I were you )

......with special indentations (striations?), so you can grip it between thumb and forefinger more easily
