Is it worth getting a strobe for Tenerife?

Yep definitely. Water can be clear as a bell over here - 10-15m is average vis. There's still bugger all useable light much past 10m though, it's an immutable law of Physics, especially the reds and oranges.

Absolutely, bring out the colours, and if you are going to buy one anyway, why not buy it ealierand have the extra practice.

Can't really comment on the Fuji model, but Epoque, Inon, Sea&sea are good.
