Some from the D200 in Hemmoor, Germany

This weekend gone, Howard and I went to Germany for a little socialising and diving. This would be the first time I had taken the D200 into the water and unfortunately I only got it on the Wednesday before flying out on the Friday morning, so I didn't have much time to play with it!

I thought some of the menus on the S2 were confusing, but the D200 is even more so!! However, for UW use, I set it on manual, shot RAW and used the large LCD display on the back for composition and histogram review. The LCD is a big improvement on the S2.

Rob (Devon Rob) asked me to shoot some images for his local dive shop and AGIR which I did. Here are some of the results below.

There were also some divers from the EKPP there conducting some training including JP Bresser and Markus (one of the lead breather team members)

Of course, I did have my model bitch with me who did a good job too

Overall I have been really impressed with the 10-20 Sigma mounted on the D200 inside the Hugyfot. More so, as I didn't have the 20mm extension tube fitted to the dome. I picked up some really good tips from JP about how to mount the SLR rig with multiple stages. Next outing will be on the 19th April to the Buccaneer and the USS on the 20th. Just hope the vis is good!

Howard will be writing up something soon about the trip, but suffice to say that the Chimp's reputation is still intact in Europe

Son, you're going to have to make up your mind about growing up and becoming aircrew. You can't do both.

The aircraft limits are only there in case there is another flight by that particular aircraft. If subsequent flights do not appear likely, there are no limits.

Some very nice pictures there Gareth, but you won't need the camera for the 20th....just lift bags and crow bars

Great photos Gareth but I've gotta say it... that bloke at the back - his trim is bleedin' awful! Couldn't you have rotated the image to protect the EKPP's reputation?

BTW- Glad you're pleased with the D200. Some have commented that it has a tendancy to over expose - did you have any problems with this?

Not a clone - it's an original. And it's known as RB trim - or at least that is what Al tells me

More fab pics Gareth - you are a talented old bird aren't you

Just picked up a Sigma 10-20 this last weekend. Still too tight to buy a housing yet though

Great pics though Gloc, how do you find the softening on the edges at 10mm?

That's nothing to brag about AFAIA chimps fling poo, drink their own urine, eat bugs off each other, masturbate furiously and have sex with any other monkey in the pack

Safe diving,
Steve
