Combining hobbies... diving just after work.

Being an Air Traffic Controller I'm also a closet plane spotter, though not in the sense that I write down all the serials (not unless it's a particularly rare one )
Just after the nightshift yesterday I was therefore pleased to be able to time the immersion with the arrival of one of the world's biggest planes, the Antonov 124, which surpasses the Galaxy in size and load. Bit of a paradox still seeing that Russian plane haul American bombs and hardware.

Not a fantastic dive, but pleasant in that it's always nice to dive with experienced divers. Good to have buddies that for once looks after YOU...

This here Jarle and Julie

A cod trying to hide from me. Nice size, 2-3kg.

And that hydroid also posted in the Biology forum. I'm quite pleased with getting down below it without some sort of retraction or silting up:

Hi Kyrre, I photographed the Antonov at Manchester airport for a newpaper at the time of the Yugoslavian war. It was being loaded with aid supplies.
Was even invited along for the journey to photograph it being unloaded...the one day I had forgot my passport.
One hell of a plane, for itīs size, itīs amazing how it gets off the ground.

PS. How did the cod taste, and did you have chips with it ? :-)

Pete

At the time I came right off the nightshift and can't really say I was too keen on a cod breakfast, with chips or not.

Besides we eat our cod with boiled potatoes.

But I do know where it lives...
