My part of the world this is, originally, (Sedgefield to be exact). I remember from school trips there is a big knocker on the Cathedral door too.

| No, won't do! I tried that when it first didn't come out and it didn't work. I think it might be because the address you get once you've uploaded into the attachment manager isn't in a .jpeg format. The properties on the picture you've posted suggests that you've loaded it direct from your computer - not Photobucket or similar. Is that right?

| well it's loaded from my personal webspace but same difference as using Photobucket. The attachements feature on this new board is quite restrictive in terms of image size BTW here's that famous door knocker from the Cathedral "Sanctuary....." ![]() |

| Bugger! So the upshot is that I can no longer put a picture into a post direct from my C: drive?

| Erm.. Well, you can put it on from your C: drive because I have done it. Just find it by browsing in the attachment manager, then press the upload button, then finish and it goes in as a thumbnail. The problem i have is that I can't seem to shrink it down to a reasonable file size and still have quality that isn't remeniscent if those drawings you used to do on squared paper in primary school - now class, draw anything you like but only use exactly half the squares....
