Nudies that don't need nappies...

Lately I haven't been very active here for obvious reasons. However I have been ordered by Kate into the water a couple of times, just to get less change of diapers and more change of scene.
Vis has really been bad this summer, with lots of green stuff and now as the green stuff is going away there's still a bit of dandruff about though i REALLY REALLY REALLY hope it goes away before Mr Kelland and Mr Gulliver comes over in a couple of weeks.
Just some of the pics I've taken on the two last dives. Not all good quality, as usual a lot of Nudies, but hey ho, beggars can't be uh.. anything but beggars. I'll take anything fairly stationary.

One of those snot-like nudies clinging desperately to a branch in the gentle current. I believe it's a Jorunna tomentosa. Unfortunately I didn't get any clear pics of it . That's HP waiting inpatiently in the background. Diving with non-photographers is sometimes difficult:

Can't say I recognise this one:

Finally I got a fairly clear quadrinlineata. Whoohoo!

A dive ain't complete before I've gotten one of these suckers:

I thought this pic got kinda funky with the bubbles. Works for me.

The Tjeldsund monster.

Right... 0245 am. Frid needs her stuff. We're doing foie-gras-like feeding with a syringe while the mother is getting a longed after all-night sleep. Thought she needed it.

Kyrre

Great shots, as usual, Kyrre! It loks as though I'm going to get plenty of use for my macro lenses.

Thanks John.

No doubt there's plenty macro stuff around. Hopefully by the end of the month we'll have the vis for some wide angle wreck-with-divers-all-around-and-three-doing-deco-on-the-shot-with-the-Narvik-ski-lift-faintly-in-the-background shots.
Not likely while Narvik harbour is relatively silty, but hopefully the dandruff will at least have sunk to the bottom when you arrive.

If you forget your macro lens we can always take you to these barnacles. The size of my hand I believe.

I can bring the lunch bag Paul, but I will be taking someone in. Either try dive, or refamiliarisation of skills.

Chat After?
