Hi Mark,

Is there any paricular reason you went for forth element, rather than the Othree base layers?

FYI - I'm starting my Adv. Trimix on sunday so I may not be jumping into 90m straight away, but I'm up for some fairly decent hangs.

Cheers

Rich

90 minuets not 90m Frankly the deco commitment on a 90m dive is so heavy that I have yet to find a wreck that’s worth it. If I can’t get a minimum of 30mins on the wreck I feel it’s a waste of a dive. I would make an exception for the Britannic The 50-80m range is far better suited to OC trimix IMHO. Now I have overcome my desire to do depth for the hell of it I actually much prefer to do a good wreck in 50m and spend and hour on the bottom.

Like you I sought advice from the YD pages and fourth element came out well so I went for that. The Point Below Base or what ever it is, from 03 is a good base layer but the Fourth Element has the reputation of being the best wicking base layer around so I went for that. Andyp uses the PBB from 03 and he likes it. Its thicker and doubles up over the chest area so it definitely looks good. I doubt if you will go too far wrong with either system. If 03 do a discount when you get the dry suit I would opt for that.
