Just unscrew it - a snoopy loop wrapped round it will give you better grip.

Beware the Si-techs - I found that even tho the outside is low profile the inside sticks out a mile - enough to become irrititating and even leave a pressure mark on my arm post dive (binned!). The new Apeks LP style seems more compact - Gates stuck one on my suit when it went back for de-leaking cos the old Apeks HP had a slightly knacked membrane, and it's worked fine so far.

Not quite true keith, the other chap hit the nail on the head. You need to fully depress it before screwing/unscrewing or you *can* shear the internals.

Bandit saw the sea in a book once
had the old style lp on my old suit which I always found to be slow at dumping new style lp on my new suit no probs at all
