| Hi Wilbo, personally I would let your LDS do it I have replaced them once at it was a pain in the a**e never again ![]() You will need to remove all the old glue from the suit then get some 2 part glue and the top ends of 2 traffic cones and stick the seals on the suit and then over the cones making sure that there are no gaps, I put the tape on afterwards on both sides of the suit. HTH Safe diving, Steve.

| Mdemon will be along shortly to explain how to do it for a quid. |

| As it happens, I did mine last night. For latex neck seal there is generally a two phase approach. Remove old neck seal and clean (and roughen?) surfaces which will bond. You can use a cone/cylinder. I just laid mine flat. Spread a thin layer of the glue on both surfaces and allow to dry until just tacky. (I have used both Avon inflateable repair glue and actual pukka seal fixing glue from kit - they looked identical. I guess you could use a two part as well...) Spread another thin layer and allow to dry like before. Carefully position neckseal bit by bit - don't stretch it or you'll get excess left at the end. When it's on, I give it a good rubbing to make sure all the surfaces have fixed. Posh people glue that black tape stuff around the edge to make it look pretty. I just use a bead of Aquasure. I'm sticking a neoprene one on top tonight. That's going to be fun _____________________________________________ Disclaimer - This may be pants! ...but it works for me. |
