I swear by Talc, and Xmatelot swears by KY Jelly, but he's ex-navy, so thats no real suprise. I'm sure you're not supposed to grease your entire body with it though, he's a sick boy.

When i use something it's usually talc (there's no way i'm buying KY ) but more often than not i don't need to use anything, espicially for the first dive.

I use KY for putting suit on. Im normally dying for a wee by the time I take it of so its a quick dash to the loo while trying to get out of the thing. I therefore dont have time to hunt for the KY and use it to remove the suit.

When I store the suit at home I use Simple talc to keep any moisture or dampness away from the seals.

I get someone else to buy me the KY, its almost like buying fags or beer under age and waiting outside the shop. "Excuse me mate you cant get me some KY can you? " My supplier has just got me another tube so Ian I wont have to borrow your talc next time and Dave can be happy as the company KY is back in stock. I just cant bring myself to buy my own

Going for some vet lub when I can get someone to walk into the vets assuming any one can purchase it. Nice big pot with big letter VET LUBE

Jamie

KY's a water based lube so OK for seals. Don't get any oil basec lube or you'll rot em.

I use baby talk as I found lube too messy and it greased my mask up when doing the spit & clean

Talc can block up your inflator and dump valves just ask Andy Hayhurst, he lost one of his mates this way!

better than anything as condoms are rubber and you should only use water based lube on rubber (vaseline will rot rubber very quickly)

I use talc, and I have suffered with the bunged inflator button. Just learn to be a little more careful where you shake it! I have also noticed that on the last dive trip, I was the club talc supply! This can, I have found be controlled by using scented talc(it was cheap)!!
The talc also forms a lovely paste that helps bung up the damn leak.
