The key if you use a cuff dump as well as an auto I reckon is going to be a piece of tape over the top with a little pull tag. You get all the advantage of it being there, but without it dumping air when you don't want it to. Or a snoopyloop would seal around the top of one I think.

Anway, just have a cuff dump on my suit, I find it convenient enough, never really got on with auto dumps at all, just found them to be anything but auto.

Only other reason to use one instead is kitting up. I find sliding into my harness harder with a big turret dump, and the low profile one I had was quickly binned, so this was a bit of a pain to be honest.
