Dying a wetsuit

I'll probably get some stick for this, but here goes

My current wetsuit is mainly black but with a few coloured panels here and there. Unfortunatley, these are in a rather putrid green colour and I look and feel like a bit of a gimp in it. I was therefore wondering if anybody has ever dyed their wetsuit a different colour and if so what did you use?

I'm not quite vain enough to sell a perfectly good wetsuit because of the colour, but if I can dye it blue or something that'd help my diver-image no end. And we all know that image is second to none when diving, especially in the fantastic vis offered by most UK locations.

And before you ask no I don't routinely watch "Changing rooms", "What not to wear" or "Ten years younger". Just every now and again.

Spray the black bits te colours of the rainbow and sell it to Howard (dive dude)

I know how you feel. My dead hard black 03 MSF Dry Suit for dead hard technical divers was made from a dodgy batch of Neopreen and its turned purple It clashes horibly with my yellow counterlungs

Ohhhhh the shame

But you are vain enough to want to dye it don't be such a tart, how often do you wear a wetsuit maybe you should have thought about your image before you bought it.

Why don't you try colouring over it with a permanent black marker pen? Or cut the panels out and sew in a different colour, if you watch all of those programmes I am sure you will get some tips on sewing!! Hair dye might work --- just a thought!

Maybe instead of dying it you could swap it,

I think it would help us all enormously if you uploaded a photo of yourself "modeling" it, ( anybody got a wide angle lense!! )

so the potential swapee???? gets a good idea of how it looks

Or sticky back plastic for the truly BP look.

Why not try googling for the answer it might help a bit.
