Bellows or Conical Neckseals?

My wife's drysuit needs a new neckseal but when I went into my LDS, they only had the bellows type in stock. It got me wondering what are the pros and cons of bellows vs. conical neckseals. My wife has a ND Cortex with the neoprene scarf which fasetens over the latex seal.

I don't have this problem, I use a compressed neoprene suit so I would value input from experienced membrane suit users.

With the bellows neckseal people look like the Robot from Lost in Space.

I imagine, the contact patch on both types of seal is about the same. I think the Manchette seals allow for more movement but having never actually used bellow seals ..........

There is also more scope for making the seals bigger if they prove to be too tight (IMO) - ie cutting bits off.
