With the bellows neckseal people look like the Robot from Lost in Space.
I imagine, the contact patch on both types of seal is about the same. I think the Manchette seals allow for more movement but having never actually used bellow seals ..........
There is also more scope for making the seals bigger if they prove to be too tight (IMO) - ie cutting bits off.
