Foot squeeze - any suggestions?

I've had a problem over recent dives with the foot of my drysuit boot squeezing my toes. It's the only place that suit squeeze really seems to affect me; I don't tend to put much air in the suit and any air that does go in tends to be away from my toes anyway.

It's not exacty painful but then not exactly comfortable either. I don't have any big toenails which may be one reason why I feel uncomfortable (the squeeze is right on the bed of where the nail used to be - that's quite soft and tender). Or I may just be being a big wuss.

Any suggestions how to alleviate this? There's not a whole lot of room in the boot, and I don't think somethink like a steel toe cap sock is going to work.

Perhaps I should just stop being a big jessie and put up with it?

Andy

Hmm

Hmm, I had that problem once .....are you sure it is a squeeze?

Is it possible that you might have your foot pushed too far forward in your boot, and in turn forced too far forward in your fins, so that your toes are being crushed a bit?

Big, girlie, well cushioned socks sorted it for me.

I've done that, but as soon as I return to my degree perfect head up trim* the air departs from my toes!

When I changed drysuits I had a bit of an issue with this and found that I just needed more footwear. Try a pair of thinsulate boots from beaver with some socks on under that. I don't notice it now.

Cheers
Al

My weezle booties tend to ruck up and it feels like squeeze but in 'frog kick' trim my feet are higher than my head so if the suit is comfortable it can't be.
Now I am more careful to make sure plenty of bootie has made it round the ankle constriction the problem has gone away.

Thicker socks make a difference for me.

I fave fairly thin boots that tend to compress a bit. It's most noticeable on the rare occasions I wear the suit in the pool with only thin socks under it. With thicker or multiple padded socks, I don't feel the squeeze at all.

I had the same when I started with my dry suit. As soon as I went past 15m it would get uncomfortable. Neoprene socks and ulitmately 4th element Artic bootees sorted it for me
