One of our cats caught 2 mice in the process of eating my hood last year.
The hood was beyond repair but you should have seen the mice !!!

Our cat also is adept at catching birds (caught 2 pigeons & 4 starlings in one day last summer) so I thought we'd due the bird population a favour & fitted her with a bell.

Result - The very next day the blackbird population of Berkshire is 2 down

Solution - Fit Bigger Bells

Result - Scratch a Pigeon

Don't know how the heck she still does it as I can hear her 3 gardens away.

The gray fixing screws on the EDO 04 head look like cheap stuff bought at the local gardening store.
Well, it is cheap stuff and it comes almost from the local gardening store, but it works fine and it's very solid. We tried to destroy one by hitting it with a hammer... we succeeded but we really had to hit it hard - http://www.stde.ch/en/faq.php
