| I'd be looking at the polar bear. A range of suits that will do what you ask of them. The wife dives in one and after 3 years it still looks new. We use them at work and really give them some stick, and they seem fine. Andy

| With reference to dry suits and a previous thread Ishall repeat myself (That was complete gibberish!!) Take your exisisting suit to the manufacturer, let them measure it, you tell them where you want it looser/ tighter etc and why. Put it on with your chosen undersuit let them measure again reach around do a shut down drill etc dance if you want to. Then they really can produce a superb fit... easier for them....easier for you and you get what you want. If they get it wrong poke them with a big stick. |

| I know a couple of people with Oceanic Flexia suits, both really nice looking suits, one has been going for a few years of hard wear and still looks good. There's also a cordura one that is the next suit up from that, probably harder wearing but noticeably heavier. I personally use a Gates / Hunter CBX 450 - very nice suit, although they're not very common. Cordura again, very nice chunky seals, very well put together and good service from the manufacturer. I sent mine back for a new neck seal recently, turned around very quickly and no more expensive with postage than taking it to any LDS (where i'd have had to wait 3 weeks). I did actually consider what i'd get if it got lost in the post (just random discussion I was having with a friend) and couldn't think of anything i'd get different for the same (or slightly more) money. The only people I know with ND suits are the neoprene one, not the membrane. They seem well put together, not sure about the membrane but should be fine. Before you buy just make sure that you try them on until you find one that fits, and its probably easiest to get any extras you want done by the manufacturer (pockets, extra zips, neoprene over-seals, etc) before you buy it rather than have someone bodge it on later. | Hi, I have a northern diver cortex suit, had it 18 months. I always dived in a neoprene suit ( 15yrs) . Excellent, far more movement. I mainly dive wrecks and spend a lot of time crawling around inside wrecks and the suit is perfect. I use a weezle extreme plus u/suit and find it very warm , even in mid winter. The neopre neck and cuff protectors are great and a bit warmer in the winter time. I originally ordered an oceanic ardura but they had to send THREE suits and they all leaked, glad I got the cortex. Good luck with what ever you buy. |
