I would take a 5mm full one piece. As the temprature can dropto 16C below the themocline.

I wore a 5mm full length wet suit with hood and gloves when I went last July. But being used to diving in a dry suit all year around I like to be warm.

Two who I dived with wore 3mm shorties and where quite happy and warm.

Hope this helps

The last time I went was in February a couple of years ago and I wore a 7mm semi dry but no hood or gloves as it was about 15 degrees there (in the water that is) - Didn't get as far as Comino though as the whole island was pretty much blown out

I was comfortable last November in a 3mm full piece, but then the extra layer of subcutaneous fat does help. This March it was b****y freezing, about 13 deg C, 5mm full piece and still cold after 40 mins. It's always a juggling act over there, in the sumer it get's boiling on the land and since a lot is shore diving you melt, until you get in. Hope that's of help.

5mm full suit

I dived off Gozo in August 2003

If you are diving below 25m then I would recommend a full suit.

Just back from Gozo. 3mm LongJohn worked fine apart from the thermocline at 20m out from the Blue Hole.
Shedloads of small jellyfish blown in over the past 2 weeks though. So you may want more protection.

If you're diving below 20m I'd take a 5mm full suit, with gloves and a hood. You'll get very hot waiting to get in the water but the deeper you go the more you'll appreciate it.
