Thumbs up Polar Bear's Service

My other diving half bought a S/H drysuit off e-bay which required some professional TLC. We sent it off to Polar Bears, the manufacturers last week for a once over and 'service'. In the meantime, I (as you do) trolled the forums for some idea of PB's level of service. It wasn't good generally.

So, I'd like to add a positive note to this. We got the suit back today (as promised) with a new neckseal (agreed), two cuff ring o-rings (agreed), a pair of new cuffs FOC and a repaired cuff ring FOC. Dave at PB was extremely helpful whenever I called and I cannot fault their service.

Well done Polar Bears!

Oi you thread title nicker!!

I have recently been fortunate enough to have some great service from Polar Bears and now have a lovely suit and undersuit.

You might not have seen my thread as it's in the Dark Side (DIR) equipment forum but there was a pretty good response.

Anyway I'll give a big thumbs up to PB and suggest people have a quick lookie at the above thread. The last post is my assessment of the finished suit.

Whoops! Sorry...

Funnily enough, my partner has just arrived home and looked at the suit and noticed that PB have put new logos on too. Now I know that is just minor cosmetics but it looks like brand new now. Which is nice.

When my Aquion Pro finally gives up the ghost, PB will most certainly be on my shortlist.

Thumbs up

Well, I'm the *other 'arf* he was talking about, and I've just got in from work and had a look at the suit. It looks like they've done a darned good job! They've even put on new Polar Bears stickers on the chest, arm and leg, which makes it look like a new suit (some shrewd marketing ploy, methinks!!!). It was never a tatty looking second hand suit and fits like it was made to measure. However, now I've had it spruced up I'm really pleased with it! I was warned when I bought it that it had a leak in one of the legs, so that was the reason for sending it to PB. Fortunately the pressure test confirmed all was well. I will let you know if I get wet in it once I've dived next week! But for the moment, all I have is praise for PB. I mailed them when I was first interested in buying the suit and their replies have been prompt and informative. They have supplied fantastic service. So, from a repair and customer service perspective they get top marks, as far as I'm concerned. keep it up, PB, and thanks!
