Thin Undersuit for under Neoprene Dry Suit

Am looking for the thinnest undersuit possible so i stop ruining my shorts/tights and t-shirts etc that i wear normally under my suit as they either end up damp or just yukky when/if i get wet or 'glow' (female word for sweat ) when wearing the suit in the recent weather in between dives etc.

The suit is rather tight thus undersuit needs to be v thin and preferably slippery material for the drysuit to slide up (not painting a good pic of this eh ) I dont feel the cold really so no need or room for any other bulk apart from my own bits!

Any ideas?

ta in advance.

Fourth Element Exotherm or Exotherm Arctic if there is room under the suit.

..I think the arctic version may be a bit ott with a neoprene suit?

The point is you need a "wicking" layer that lets perspiration out and keeps the skin dry. I use a Reed version, similar to the Exotherm and it's great even with my leaking O Three!

Try daleswear

The Easegill undersuit is very fine fleece, and pretty reasonable.

I'll second the Fourth Element Base Layer - I got the all-in-one package from them (Top, Tights, Socks) directly and it's great. I use it under a poseidon unisuit neoprene drysuit and I was toasty warm even when the water temp was 3 degrees C!

Tribord rash suit from Decathlon, cheap and effective (may even have a sale on at the moment).

Exclamation Or..............

If you don't want to pay for a Xerotherm you could try one of the "look-alikes" sold by some companies such as:

http://www.edirectory.co.uk/pf/pages...+piece&cid=880

or

http://www.sounddistribution.co.uk/p...?recnumber=232

Don't be put off that these are aimed at motorcyclists, I use the second one under my 5mm neoprene drybag and it works fine down to low double-figure temperatures. These also appear on eBay for about £30 occasionally (where I got mine).

Cheers
Steve

You shouldn't need much mate, look for a 400grm type B DUI and you'll be fine....

Probably the 4th Element Xerotherm will be good,

Maybe look at the Subzero factor 1&2 combined (Woz likes em and I think they're good too).
