| Fourth Element Exotherm or Exotherm Arctic if there is room under the suit. |

The point is you need a "wicking" layer that lets perspiration out and keeps the skin dry. I use a Reed version, similar to the Exotherm and it's great even with my leaking O Three! http://www.chillcheater.com/fabrics.htm Transpire Fleece Fast sweat-wicking fleece. Comfortable, super-stretchy, thermal and non-0fluffy. Ideal as a base layer for layering systems beneath padding suits & dry cags, dry suits and our Aquatherm range. Colours: black. |

| Try daleswear http://www.daleswear.co.uk/caving.htm The Easegill undersuit is very fine fleece, and pretty reasonable.

| I'll second the Fourth Element Base Layer - I got the all-in-one package from them (Top, Tights, Socks) directly and it's great. I use it under a poseidon unisuit neoprene drysuit and I was toasty warm even when the water temp was 3 degrees C!

| Tribord rash suit from Decathlon, cheap and effective (may even have a sale on at the moment). |

| If you don't want to pay for a Xerotherm you could try one of the "look-alikes" sold by some companies such as: http://www.edirectory.co.uk/pf/pages...+piece&cid=880 or http://www.sounddistribution.co.uk/p...?recnumber=232 Don't be put off that these are aimed at motorcyclists, I use the second one under my 5mm neoprene drybag and it works fine down to low double-figure temperatures. These also appear on eBay for about £30 occasionally (where I got mine). Cheers Steve

| You shouldn't need much mate, look for a 400grm type B DUI and you'll be fine.... Probably the 4th Element Xerotherm will be good, Maybe look at the Subzero factor 1&2 combined (Woz likes em and I think they're good too).
