Used a weezle extreme myself up until January this year when I had had enough of it's bulk (the inflexible stitching under the arms prevented me from doing shutdowns properly) and my inability to dump all air confidently (the weezle really trapped air). Went for the Xerotherm arctic and have never looked back. Have dived for almost an hour in 3-4 deg and not felt cold, body wise. Can't say the same for my delicate pinkies though! Shutdowns ok, loads of flexibility.

Question tight fisted!

How about a simple pair of thermals? My ski ones were £20 for the set, and work under my ski suit. I'm sure they would be good for a little extra warmth under a dry suit.

Undersuits.............hmmm....Ive been around the houses on this one. First I have a weezle extreme but as Ian says, it can be inflexible and bulky - HOWEVER as it it supposed to work using trapped air, try using your drysuit foe buoyancy - yes you stay warmer BUT its still bulky. In winter a add a couple of kilos to my weightbelt just so I can put more air in.

BUT - then I got the Xerotherm aectic - a lot less bulky, warm as toast but I still use the DS for buoyancy. By the way - in winter I still wear the JohnL`s and thermal top as well under either !!!

Now if only I could get used to using my wing for buoyancy I would not lose all that nice warm air on ascent when the DS bleed lets it all go.

Ian - just had a thought - if you fancy Cape on Sunday you can borrow my Xerotherm arctic for a try out. It is the large size so no snipping at it to fit !!!!!!!!
