Smile Warm Feet At Last The Final Solution !!!

Hi all I have just found a excellent soultion to cold feet when I am wet suit diving and caving . I bought a pair of dry socks from Hitch and hike the socks repel the water . I put them on then turning the top bit of the sock down then I put a pair of Thin neoprine socks over the top of them pulling them above the dry socks . They kept my feet compleatly dry for a good part of the dive .then they did get wet very very slowly but my feet stayed compleatly warm as there was no flushing of water in the sox at all you do not even know your feet are wet untill after the dive when you take them off . This combination also works perfect for wet caving. The socks will set you back 25 quid and Must be used with a Thin pair of neoprine socks over the top otherwise they do NOT work .You can get the thin neoprine sox from SDS divers in Derbyshire . The socks can be washed in a normal washing machine. this combnation has been well worth the small investment. I had tried all other ways of keeping warm but nothing has worked so well as this . I have never looked back .
Fiona.

Sounds like a good option then. I must try some more caving. I did it once with the school 'Adventure week' and it was good fun though that was some time ago.

There is that key difference between cavers and cave divers for the most part.....hey I'll just have to do both

I bought a couple of pairs of waterproof socks and gloves at the Outdoor show they are made by Sealskinz and are great. Again about £25 per pair.

Smile Gloves too.

They do gloves as well simlar price to the socks . I have not tried them but I am contemplating it as the socks are so good . The gloves may work well with a pair of rubber gloves sealed at the top or a very thin pair of neoprine gloves over them like the socks . I will let you if they work as well
