| I don't think 1" is going to swamp you, I'd say go for it. Try it on with your thickest undersuit, you want to have a nice range of motion without being to baggy. With it zipped up try touching your toes and behind between your shoulder blades HTH

| I would say that you would be fine in that suit, but you will need to make sure that there isn't too much room around the upper chest/shoulders that could hold a lot of air. The other thing to bear in mind is the size of the boots, too big and you will suffer from floaty feet which really isn't a good idea. You can pad a bit with thick socks, thinsulate boots etc. Go for it and try it on!

| The boots are the perfect size 10 for me...problem is the suit is on ebay and in weston super mare so no real way of try before buy. I have just put a call in to Oceanic to ask them if ok to make sure and am awaiting a call back. I am almost at MTM to be honest and this is my last look at a suit that might fit!!

you want to make sure you can reach behind your head for shut downs and bring your knees up or crouch easily other wise you won't be able to put your fins on or adjust the straps when you are diving. so like the man said stick on your thermals and try a few moves |

| ditto what they said really, but i'd add not to be tempted to buy it just cos of the price. if it fits well go for it, but dont compromise the fit because of price |

| good words of wisdom there...I was checking the sizing chart off the oceanic website and the measurements are almost bang on and if not only 1" - 1.5" bit bigger..ie chest, leg I have found an oceanic dealer just down the read from me and will see if they have any in stock that I can try to get a good idea of the size before I buy. Greens on the way!!

| Tak, bear in mínd most standard sizing charts for off the peg drysuits are designed for the scooby doo market. If thats what you're doing, you'll probably be fine (subject to a quick try on). If however you're thinking of going to the dark side and joining the twinset and pearls brigade, fit becomes critical. You then need to be sure you can achieve a valve shutdown. If not, the suit unfortunately has to go (happens quite often, its a painful thing to watch). Of course, if its dirt cheap, you could always buy/try and move on if its no good /Zak

| i want to eventually move to twins later next year after some training and wotnot. I was not aware of that factor though and thanks very much for the tip! I am going to a LDS today to look at some other suits...if I can not get a fit then a MTM Predator suit it is me thinks. I shall let you know how I get on. Chris
