Telescopic or Standard on front entry?

Hi all thinking of treating myself to a brand new Otter britannic, but those i have seen with them stuggle to pull them over there heads, is this due to poor sizing or would a croutch strap solve this problem?
I will go for mtm but dont want to spend out all that money and then have to struggle in and out of it.

Thanks guys.

James

There is an *art* to getting out of a Britannic

Half of the art is ignoring the way that Otter tell you to...
I have the telescopic version. I unzip the suit, pull out my left hand from the seal whilst holding my hand in front of me. I then take my arm out of the sleeve, again whilst holding it in front of me. The rest is then easy.

The instruction leaflet given away by Otter tells you to do it behind your back - takes you twice as long if you do this!

As for telescopic/standard, I can get out of mine even if(when) I forget to undo the crotch strap. One other point though, if you go for the telescopic and you dive twins, don't do your harness waistband up tightly over the top of the 'tuck' section, you'll never be able to reach to shutdown.

I have a MTM standard Brittanic. Despite being of the short and tubby shape I have no difficulty getting in or out of the suit unaided.

Go and vist them, then you can try both. They won't try to sell you a MTM if a standard size fits OK.

The Protec suites do look nice though I've never seen one in the flesh.

I don't think the Telescopics are MTM are they? Aren't they only available in standard sizes but with the ability to customise as required?
