I am just talking to someone I did a website for about thermals- keep your eyes peeled here on YD for a possible new product launch. Or possibly not. Depending on what they say.

I have the pleasure of owning both the Subzero gear and Xerotherm artics, and to be honest they are not really comparable for warmth retention.

very happy with the arctics under my neoprene suit, in all conditions including 40m Norway. Sometimes I add the Subzero as a base layer if the dive is going to be of any significant duration. However, I have tried the Subzero on their own and they are nowhere near as good at thermal retention.

The Subzero stuff is, as you say, good for a base layer but for a complete thermal setup needs to be waaaaay thicker. Am just talking to them to see what materials they have available.

You lot, if I may say so, are all girls.

4 degrees yesterday and with the arctics under an otter skin I was warm enough, but not exactly wilting with the heat. Any undersuit can be compromised by a) not having enough air in the suit to promote insulation and/or b) any slight leaks letting in water.

That said, I am suffering from "Boddingtons induced blubber retention syndrome" at the moment
