well you could have had a quality suit made to measure to your own specification for about £600 from these guys http://www.seaskin.co.uk/

That would have allowed you to spend another £600 on a top class twin set & wing.

Amazing what some people will pay for a designer label!!

Is that what you wanted to hear?

Bit of an odd post really: "Dear everyone, i've bought a really expensive suit and now can't afford a wing. What do you think?"

As long as you don't have any amazing expectations for the suit because of the amount you paid, you'll be happy. If you expect it to last 3 times as long as a £500 suit, then in many cases you'd be disappointed.

Out of interest, why two fairly "standard" undersuits? A drysuit isn't warm without a good undersuit, so seems a little odd to spend so much on the suit and then go with a cheap undersuit (or two...)?

As for the wing, i'd expect a drysuit worth (sorry - "costing"... "worth" is the wrong word!) £1240 to have a wing thrown in for free.

Talking Bit of suit envy going on?

Hope you enjoy the new suit, they look the business as well, not that I have one myself.

Looks like a quick search on ebay for "wing" then.

John.

I just sold an old one of those suits for £150. Maybe I should have asked for more!

Suit envy? I wouldn't say so.

For me the issue is not that he spent all that money on a suit - haven't criticised anyone on here for that before, and others have spent that much. It is more the "pay to get the best" comment followed by - "I now need a cheap wing". A more balanced spend, given his obvious budget constraints, could have brought the best of both worlds.

Cool. That's more like it. Hope the suit is all you hope.

I'd ditch those undersuits though
