| Hmmm. A difficult one to reply to as most people will probably only have had one or two suits. I know this question has popped up frequently(ish( in the past and a search on MTM dry suits may get you faster answers. FWIW, I have a Gates Pro VSN 1100 (the last 4 words might not be in the right order) and it is a brilliant suit, v/tough etc. I think my suit is the equivalent of the one with "Tek" added to the end of the name as I had a few bits added. Unfortunately they don't (well didn't) offer a MTM suit just adjustments to the nearest off the peg size + it's about £700. http://www.hunter-diving.com/divingsuit_sport1100.html If you go for the trilaminate (or variations on the theme) they are rarely snug fitting as you need to allow for thermal compensation which is more important than in a neoprene suit. Also, you need to make the bid decision about veopren or latex seals. I have always used latex which is no problem but does need changing periodically (about 3 years based on my current divng) and willbe knackered if brought into contact with petrol etc. One thing I would say is take your time and, if need be, spend that bit extra. A properly fitting suit is very important (valve shut downs, feet staying where they should be etc) and making the right choice now will probably see you through your whole diving life.

| I have a large PRO VSN 1100 I am selling that hasn't seen much use. If you think it might fit and be what you are after let me know. Jim

| I tried my 'suggested search' and the first page of results didn't look too promising. I know Diver have done some extensive dry suit tests in the past (based on their write ups I chose the Gates). It might be worth doing a search (not in the forums but through past mag write ups) on Divernet for dry suit tests?

| Hi M8E Have you tried http://www.predator-wetsuits.co.uk Denis made me a neo suit last year and I have never been wet or cold since I donning it. Denis's customers service is second to none. He does some great Tri suits as well. I cannot recommend him highly enough. |
