knee problems with drysuit

Hi guys,

I have an otter brittanic and think it is brill. However, recently I have been having knee problems (think there has been some swelling) probably arthritis and all that jazz.

The knee has become painful on dives and I feel that it rubs a lot on the inside of the suit, especially when I fin with my knees bent which is most of the time.

Has anyone had any modifications to their suit so that it resembles a motor bikers outfit around the knees. I just need to have more bend available.

Thanks for the reply, however, it is the flutter kick that I do. I have force fins so the flutter kick is mandatory. I'm thinking of trying my old frog fins so that I can try straight leg kicks again to see if that helps.

I do like my force fins though.

Spooky or what I dive a narvic [a brittanic with neo seals] and force fins which I started to use because of a gammy leg TBH I tend to just skull with my good leg and never seem to be left behind by buddies

One of the oceanic suits (flexia?) has the kind of knee arrangement you are talking about - might be worth a look?

You can still frog kick with force fins, it's just takes some getting use to. (though i cant see how that's done with a straight leg?!)

I was meaning Cressie Frog Fins not the fin action.

I have tried doing the frog kick with the forcefins though and found myself going nowhere fast (or slow as the case may be)

I will try Otter suit people, they have been very helpful in the past so they may be able to sort out an extra bit in the knee area.
