Question Anyone tried a Santi 400g thinsulate

I was thinking of getting some Xerotherm arctics to go under my 200g RoHo 'thermocline' undersuit, 'cos I still get cold even with thermals underneath.

However, following a thread on this forum I looked at the Santi 400g thinsulate and i wonder if it would be a better option for the winter? Does anyone know how flexible it is - i can hardly bend my knees in my RoHo suit, which makes donning fins a real pain.

Shuna,

I think Stephen T might have one, but he'll tell you soon enough. I just wonder whether moving to a 400g undersuit will actually increase your mobility problems. My buddy dives a RoHo like you and he seems ok in terms of flexibility in his. Is your suit too big?

I can't imagine anything i wear being too big! However, you could be right. My RoHo suit was made medium on top & large on the bottoms, rather than a specific mtm one. It is not exactley a tight fit, but The extra size on the bottom allowed me to crouch down. Its standing up and bending the knees enough to reach my fins that i have trouble with - aswell as the fact that it isn't warm enough (even with the special 'outlast' thermals underneath)

The Santi suit appear to have a thinner gusseted section behing the knees, so less chance of too much padding bunching together when bending the knees. Also the similar elasticated section on the arms may mean my shoulder dump works more efficiently.

Thanks for your input!

Shuna
