Hmmm...just wondering - why doesn't this post appear in the newest posts section??

I found this in the new post section. Sure the o-ring is to blame? surely there would have been a flood of gas bubbles if the o-ring was not sealing properly.

However, as jb2cool says, the o-ring failing usually causes bubbling from the joint. Check that the valve is secure in the suit first. hth P

Yeah, the valve was secure on the suit - when I turned the air on the air came lashing out the ned of the hose. Think I got it fixed by partially putting the o-ring in and then putting it on the suit - that put it properly in the hose. I'll know after the weekend!!

If air comes out before you attach it to the suit, then it's likely to be the schraeder (sp?) valve in the end that is loose or faulty. r P

you can get shrader valves & a shrader tool to get em out and stick em back in for a couple of quid at halfords. the toold needs modding for use in a DF (chop off the stubs on the side and put a slot in the top so you can turn it with a screwdriver) - all quite straightforward to do.
