The Weezle itself should wick, that is the point of them. Once you are a bit more shrink wrapped in the drysuit you will have contact witht he lining and it will be able to do it's job.

If you don't want to take the chance then Helly Hansen stuff is pretty popular.

Was that on the outside or inside of the undersuit? It takes a little time to wick, but if it isn't you should speak to Weezel as their recommendation is to wear nothing underneath.

So phone Weezle then. I don't believe that you should be getting very wet inside. The Weezle should wick and be soaking on the outside, but dry(ish) inside.

Wicking

Any other garments on? Were you by chance wearing a cotton T shirt under the weezle. This would aborb the perspiration and prevent the Weezle from doing its job. T shirt would become remarkably moist.
If you want a wicking base layer I can recommend 4th Element, but at this time of year the base layers are not really required, just you and your Weezle inside the drysuit.

I have both base layers weezle and 4th element. The 4th element is a tad thicker and much warmer.

FWIW
I use 4th element base layer from Dec onwards, and for Jan/Feb diving add the weezle base layer to keep me really toastie
