| As someone's already said, I'd cut my losses, sell the suit and put the cash towards a new suit that fits. I know they're expensive, but if you add up the cost of a few ruined weekends of diving, you quickly realise the value of a decent-fitting suit. To quote one well known neoprene suit manufacturer, "Diving should be enjoyed, not endured". Alterations can be quite expensive in themselves, and your old suit may still not work for you. A quick trawl of the YD archive should pull up a few recommended neo suit manufacturers, some of them close to you. Buy one of their off the peg suits and get the manufacturer to tweak it to fit perfectly. I've got "Protec" in my head as an affordable brand, but I might be making that up. EDIT: I'm not! More raves about them here I put up with a badly fitting suit for a year, wondered why I'd fallen out of love with diving, then got one that's brilliant and haven't looked back. | yup sell the suit and get a new one I done the same before, ill fitting suit, sent to shops to alter and change fit, etc. ultimately just admitted that it was a bad fit, I know it can be hard to admit that especially when you spent a lot of money and got this nice new suit you want to play with. in hindsight, I definitely shouldnt have wasted all that money on altering my suit. it does cost a fair bit! if your really set on it, I suggest you go back to either the manufacturer, or find another manufacturer who will measure you and compare it to you suit measurement. they can then give you the best advice and quote based on the difference in fit. best of luck with it. |

| Thanks for the advice. I've just bought another suit. At least I now know what I'm looking at. Cheers |
