Waterproof Draco Any Recommendations

Hiya...

I am still dreaming and dreams are what a girl is allowed to have.. so.. can I just ask you knowledgeable and kind people.. are you using a waterproof draco or do you know anyone who does.. is it worth its £800 pricetag..

Honesty and all that will be required..

I have (and soon to be sold ) the previous version ...the Waterproof Antarctic which is a fabulous suit. It says 100% Waterproof on the back and it really is. I did two season of diving in it and never got wet once. It's lovely and warm.

On the downside it takes a long while to dry and that version had a fixed boot size for a given body size. I think the on Draco you can change boots to ones that fit.

Some friends have the Draco and think it's even better.

I changed when I started Trimix diving because the suit compressed a lot at depth and lost a lot of flexibility.

Can t really help on its performance as I got mine at the Dive Show and still haven t got it wet
Looks and feels great though, a doddle to don and take off.(on a dry run of course)
Try Andark or SDS though cos they had em for less than £700

I recently purchased a new drysuit and the Draco was in the running until right at the end.

I spoke with the Uk importers and they were helpful and informative. I really liked the suit but I didn't like the fact that it was going to be less easy and time consuming to get alterations done. I'm sure that the backup from Scandinavia would be great in the event of problems - but again that could mean potential delays.

In the end I went with O3 and I know that I made the right decision for me. I took the trip down to Weymouth (3 hours each way) and was made really welcome no pressure selling, plenty of coffee, shown round the new premises etc and in and out of various suits, sizing etc... A fabulous and reassuring experience.

I ordered an Ri2/100 in the end with a few custom adjustments (included in the price) 2 weeks later said suit arrives and fits like a glove.

In my opinion the Draco is a lovely suit, with what appears a great deal of thought put into it. In the end though the backup, recommendation and great personal experience at O3 left my mind 100% made up.

Hope that helps

Good points, but one of the nice things about the Waterproof suit is that it is fitted with Latex seals which tend to suit females better due to their head circumference:neck circumference ratio being larger.

I´ve only heard good things about waterproof but personally I prefer Ursuk (Ursuit::Sukellus), I have both a "heavy light" and "heavy light cordura"...both were a fair bit below 800£...

I have been using the waterproof draco for just over a year and would certainly recomend it.
it has a lot of nice features that would be considered extra's on some others.
nice expandable pockets and and I like the neck flap for the hood.
You can also remove the outer cuffs to fit dry gloves

Hope this helps
