Imported post Mattbin Get yourself off to Diverswarehouse for their sales, about £100 for a drysuit. BUT you'll have to queue from about 4am as everyone goes there. Well worth a trip for a bargin. Myself I have a Neoprene suit and don't seem to have any of the problems quoted here, except fins. Stand on the bug**rs and slide your feet in and out.

Imported post Hi Fi Drysuit - mine is a MTM (for someone else) Bliss Flexyskin, which looks pretty similar to their standard skin but in the slightly sofrter fabric that supposedly has some "give". I guess it is similar to the Hammerhead too. Undersuits - mine is black with red fleecy lining (Arctic 200 Commercial), and is of the new style. It *is* restrictive, seems to have a very tough outer skin that has no give. Caroline has the 300 Deluxe which has a much thinner, softer outer and seems to have more give...that is the blue one. I guess it is all about unlearning the way I did things in my semi and learning it again in the drysuit! Matt, you should try it....I have to say I was nice and warm all day on Saturday morning(water 12, air 9). In fact - got a bit too warm over mid morning soup! Much more fun packing up and leaving as well. No fannying around getting dry and dressed. Cheers lou

Imported post I believe the DWH sale starts this saturday, details are in this months 'Dive' , prob in 'Diver' too. Best to get there early and queue, suits seem to be the really big thing in the sale. Some folk I know got some _incredible_ bargains, like a MTM brand new suit (rrp ~450) for ~200 !!. Of course its a bit hectic as you can imagine :shock: Regards Steve W PS may try to get there this weekend myself as I'll be in Leeds Friday night if "her indoors" has her way.

Imported post Yes Fi those $£%&*^!?@# boots - eh Davy... :biggrin: Frog - you have proverbials to have a pain in??!
| |||
Imported post Doh! DWH sale is 23rd November, 9.30am, apparently there's S/H twinsets and stage bottles too.
| |||
Imported post Steve Twinsets are about £250 each, (I know 'cos it Paul who's selling this seasons kit) I don't really think its worth the trail if thats all your going for. Hope it saves you a trip

Imported post Cheers Andy, I've already got a twin-set (oooo... nice little number in egyptian cotton, looks lovely ;) ) Its just that "twinset fever" seems to be spreading on the forum and thought some others might be geting the bug. £250.00, hmmm...not bad, suppose it depends on manifold, bands etc. Was tempted by the thought of a second hand stage bottle but not that fussed. Going to DWH with CC can be sooooooo detrimental to your finacial well being.

Imported post Steve.....like your signature! I could almost nick it for myself (except I wasn't even born in the 60's.....tee hee!!!) Veggie power to the people.....offers some interesting options for underwater propulsion or bouyancy control. What are the thermal properties of methane? A useful substitute for argon?

Imported post "Vegetable rights & Peace..." (Neil, Young Ones, Bambi episode) Glad it tickled your funny bone Lou, I've decided to pin my colours to the mast on these issues as I was recently labelled a "veggie tree-hugger" in what I presume was an intended derogatory manner, see: http://www.bsacforum.co.uk/forums/depthforum/index.html The more time I spend on that forum, the more I appreciate YD :biggrin: Chee-az (as we say on Tyneside)
