| Would wearing one of these belts allow you to wear a less bulky undersuit? eg. dropping from a 400g to a 200g? Mark. |

| If you were borderline warm enough in a 200g but used a 400g to be sure then yes I think you could quite happily use one of these and be very comfortable. However if you were the other end of the spectrum and were borderline in a 400g then dropping to a 200g and one of these would be a bad move I think. They make a noticeable difference but they don't work miracles. I can't feel the heat from the belt when I'm in the water but I am in longer before I start shivering and I warm up quicker when I get out. |

Having recently sold my trusty O'three RI 2/100, I've been using a friend's rear-entry trilaminate with just the same Xerotherm Artic undersuit I used to use with the O'three. Now without the heated belt, there's absolutely *no way* I would last the 45-mins or so I've been able to handle in cold winter temperatures - and that's scootering which, as we know, doesn't help keep the internal fires burning. Without the belt, I think I'd struggle to handle much more than 30 mins or so... Bottom line is that if you're struggling to keep your core temperature up then one of these belts will certainly help.

| One comment someone made to me about these was that they wouldn't want to rely on them for long deco dives - at least with a thick undersuit you know the battery's not going to die when you're on your stops and leave you cold.

About half way down is a heated belt that look pretty much the same. Product Code: 01-023-G. Not sure if it is, but is still a few quid cheaper at £89.99 Steve

| Hi Rob I have the full vest and I've had lots of trouble with it I'm curious .... do you have an external can which holds the battery and has a long cable which you attach to a connector cabled through your dry suit to the vest? Thanks Venus |
