True, the gloves are cheaper (by 12.1p). However, you need to order a hell of a lot of pairs of gloves to overcome the £5.95 postage that Protec charge vs the £1 that Bacons Dozen charge - 41 pairs in fact!

Very strange. Did he lock them in place? And they didn't have massive amounts of air in when he stuck them on? Presumably without any air path between the gloves and the suit (ie a tube under the seal)?

The rings seal on the outside of your normal wrist seal, so if you use it on neoprene seals you need a thin coat to give it something smooth and waterproof to seal against. It's not glued in place though.

Jumping in on this, these are great:

Trelleborg Viking The sleeve ring kit

Really easy to put in your suit or take them out. I use a really cheap inner glove, and then marigolds turned inside out. In the unlikley event of a glove being comprimised, your suit seals stay intact. I haven't found glove squeeze an issue, not to 60 anyways.

I have however tried them with the NDiver 'dryglove' with the built in cuff, and they worked well for the six dives the gloves lasted before the seams went around the fingers!!

Regards

Chris

Cheers for the replies - im going to get the ND gloves.

Worked out my glove size should be a 9. Whether thats a small, medium or large in ND speak is a different matte - suspect i'll need to guess.

Hopefully this weekend will be the last with painfully cold hands forcing me to end dives.

Thanks for resurrecting this thread String. I've got a mate who suffers from Raynaud's disease but who doesn't want to end his diving in October. He was actually considering the ND Neo gloves because warmth is the major consideration for him and he thought the others would be too hard to fit. I'll get on the phone to him now

Cheers

Jay

this is also true - but size 10's are too small for most male divers when used with an underglove - unless they have ladies hands like GLOC.

Therefore I'd rather pay the delivery charge and have gloves that fit..

Size 10's are a little on the tight side with a santi inner thermal glove- but once on just about ok- prefer the size 11's as you can get a thicker glove underneath

Cheers Wilbo
