| Drysuit adjustments Hi Is it feasible to get my drysuit adjusted, so that the crotch area is lengthened (honest!)? The legs are quite long and get slightly bunched, but the torso could be longer, and it's the crotch area that is the limiting factor. I don't want another suit, I love mine and am used to it, I've had it for ages and it works faultlessly, I've just decided that I finally want to do something about the slight tightness. I'm assuming, in a naive, layman's way, that it's just a case of cutting open the crotch and inserting some more material and waterproofing it. wait for the flak.... ;-) r

| That sounds like an otter suit you have. The leg bit is easy, they just take the boots off, cut a bit off the legs and put the boots back on again. The torso is a little more complicated, you would need to give otter (assuming it is them) a call and see what they can do. The alterations will cost quite a bit, you may want to think about a new dry suit. David mentioned Ian and £700 so I assume he is talking about a Protec Explorer - a lovely looking suit. Or if you are looking for something that costs less, then try seaskin. But honestly, if it can be adjusted, it will cost £££. So, you may be best to either live with it, or sell it and buy another.
