| Imported post I desperately need to buy a new undesuit / thermals for use under a 5mm neoprene drysuit. A Weazel or similar seems to be a bit of overkill for a neoprene suit but some of the base layers on their own seem a little thin. So far I have looked at the o'three PBB system and the some of the fourth element gear Can anyone recommend a suit that will keep me warm enough through winter, but still not be too restrictive under a thick drysuit ? Ideally I am looking for one garment that is a sort of intermediary between thermals and full undersuit. Anything too bulky is going to cause me problems isolating. Cheers, John

| Imported post Cheers Andy, I have had a good mooch around the website and they do seem to do suits for all occasions. Having said that, I dropped into the local dive shop last night, just to take the weight of my wallet and tried the new Fourth Element Arctics . . . . . very nice, if a little on the pricey side. Much thicker that normal base layers, but much less restrictive that a full undersuit under neoprene. Has anyone actually tested them in action ?

| Imported post Rather bizzerely, no one seems to know exactly ! Fourth Elements website does not even mention them, yet I know they exist cos I've seen them. My local shop has several sets on display, but do not seem to know how much they are meant to be selling for yet. On the basis that their usual thermals are around £120 a set and the Arctics are about three times the thickness, the price is likely to earn me a slap from the bank manager As soon as I find out I will post it here.
