Twin 7s weight requirement???

Ok i'm going over to 300b twin 7's & am trying to guestimate how much lead i'll need.

When I used to dive twin 12's I needed 3kg ontop of my SS backplate & when I dive a single 12 I usually need ~13kg. So if anyone out there dives 300b 7's or has an idea how much i'm likely to need give us ashout

Assume i'm using same backplate & suit, etc...

Ta,
Dave..

Take about 8lb off between 232 12s and 300 7's I reckon. But don't come running to me if you go shooting to the surface, get hobrribly bent and lose your bladder control 'cos you didn't do a weight check.

I have twin 7's 300 bar with a lightweight ss backplate. With my 12 ltr and on a bc I needed 24 lbs in the sea.

With the 7's and a backplate and umbilical torch canister I only need 4 lbs of lead. So I have shed 20lbs but added a ss backplate and a canister.

I love my twin 7's.

Lyv

Ta,
Dave..

I too need 13k with a single 12, a Diverite transpac and my neo suit.

With my 300 bar twin 7s and a 3mm SS BP I need 6k - 4k in v weights and 2k on my harness.

HTH

Edit - with my umbilical torch and my KT reel I am heavy in this set-up, but I know I can do a stop at 5m with virtually no gas
