I know there have probably been posts before but...

I have just picked up a new 4mm Spitzbergen Neoprene dry bag and am confused as to what i need underneath. To help, I'm up on 21st....

Would a compact fleece and jogging bottoms be enough? Or do i need a proper undersuit?

Please let em know ASAP as if I need a proper bit of gear, I only have 2 days to get it!

I use a set of my dads old thermals, and a set of micro thermals from matalan under my neoprene drysuit. The micro thermals are £6 each for top and bottoms. I found this to be easier and warmer than a thin undersuit which i used to use.

<font color='#000080'>hiya. as tiewrapdiver says, you'll need properly wicking undergarments - you can get thermal base layers pretty cheap from any outdoor shop. jogging bottoms might not be so good. (i use thermals under my neoprene drysuit)

<font color='#0000FF'>I use fourth element xotherm artic thermals, they are around £150 for top and bottoms. There aint a lot of room in my neo suit, and these are the muts dangly bits, well worth the cash.

Depends on what you are dooing.

4th Element base layour for short dives lovley no boyancy issues but in present 6c conditions 40min max.

BUT if you doing /planning longer dives go for a 200g thinsulate preferably over a 4th element or similar base layour.

I do 90min + rin times in this and a 5mm Neo 03 and only my feet freeze solid every thing else is fine. Scuber pro 5mm semi dry gloves (Gods gift to divers) 5mm neo 03 hood

Hijacking the thread a tad...

when I wear a Xerotherm under my Weezle, it doesn't half feel restrictive suddenly.

Anyone else noticed this, or is it just me?

4th Element base layour or the O'Three base layour in the winter, with maybe &nbsp;T-shirt under.. &nbsp;in the summer shorts and t-shirt

Well, didn't get to buy any of the thermals you mentioned above before Saturday, but wore 2 sets of 100g high wicking thermals and was Toasty! &nbsp;Having said that, we dived at portland in the end and the water was a tropical 10 degree's!

If you LOVE KELP and sand eels, then I can recommend Chesil cove as a second dive, otherwise...........
