whats the logic behind this one Terry. We keep the nipples/hoses the same so that we can inflate the suit with the wing inflate, and the wing with the suit inflate, should the need arise. Is there a reason for not doing so?

Just to add... I've got the Evolve wing, and there is no way I'd be able to disconnect the direct feed underwater with gloves on. The connector is tight against the corrugated hose and a PITA to get on and off - i have the deep sea rubber 'hose disconnector' on my suit feed which is great, but there's no room for this to fit on the evolve...

We do a drill for a stuck inflator on a wing whereby we shutdown the right post whilst simulteously dumping from the rear dump, and then remove the inflator - it is entirely possible on the evolve, but defintitely easier if there is no pressure.

I have the evolve as well - and TBH the disconnect isn't too much of a problem even with dry gloves on. Now reconnecting is more of an issue..

Just to add to all the advice: the CEJN connections are fine but If you try and push a CEJN hose on to a standard nipple it will freeflow more often than not. They also deliver gas at far too high a rate for my liking.

I ditched mine and swapped it for an AP valves hose with can be cut to a custom length. It also has a nice chunky release so it's easier to disconnect in the water.

Wot he said - this is precisely why I swapped all of mine out.

I would not dive your wing without fixing that first. The chimps do a drill for stuck inflator. My girlfriend had a stuck inflator at 30 ish meters.
add some deco into the mix and your in a whole heap of problems.

but hey Dive safe mate.
