| Imported post Looking for a new suit, must be neoprene, must be warm, must be easy to move in and not make me look like an inflatable whale (difficult I know as I already do look like an inflated whale). Have narrowed it down to 3 suits. 1. Northern Divers Dive Master (2 of my mates have them and like them). 2. O Three MSF 500 TB (many seem to like these but never seen one). 3. Poseiden Unisuit (not sure about this, will the zip running down the side be easily damaged?) Your opinions please. |

| Imported post I am the wife to Daz and I picked up my O'Three suit on Saturday and was diving on Sunday - I had always dived in a membrane suit up until now but, as I really feel the cold, I have had to wear so much clothing that the kilo's were going on the weight belt. I dived in my new suit in Vobster on Sunday, the temperature was 7c and I did a 40 minute dive and I was not cold at all. The suit fitted perfectly but then it would being a made to measure!!! I can recommend the O'Three suits - the staff in Weymouth were really helpful. Sam |

| Imported post Steph Have you looked at the divers warehouse suits, the new otter Super skin suit is superb it is a membrane type, i have one with a weazel 200 gram under suit and i have never been cold even diving for over one hour. Before this suit i had a neoprene one and ater a few seasons i was unable to reach back and shut down my cylinder valves. Fancy asking what my wife was wearing Oh apparently it is, my mistake. Well she was wearing a fourth element (standard) undersuit with a fourth element arctic on top. Now this might seem alot and you might find that just a fourth element arctic would be sufficient for yourself with a similar suit. She used to get cold after 20 minutes in similar conditions with the arctic base layer, a Weezle extreme and her old membrane suit. Probably worth mentioning that we were not moving around much either as we were playing around with some skills practice, so a definite thumbs up for the O3. Daz

Unfortunately I reckon DUI are pricing themselves out of the UK market with their current stratagy. The O3 RI's seem to have similar glowing reports and are quite significantly cheaper. I seem to be singing O3's praises considering I have an Otter suit Hey Gareth, you might actually be able to get more for your suit second hand than you paid for it with the current pricing strategy Just my opinion, Daz

| Imported post Hi Folks, Thanks for the input. I currently use a DUI CF200SE crushed neoprene (have had this suit for the past 10 years), I've only just replaced the seals other than that the suit looks almost as good as the day I bought it (if slightly on the large side). I guess I just fancied a change. My mates are slowly convincing me not too change,('Why change when your suit is OK?') The missus is also 'encouraging' me too keep it ('If you spend 600 quid on a new suit I'll remove your knackers with a rusty bread knife.'). The O Three looks the business and I've heard nothing but praise about their suits and service. So I reckon I'll keep my DUI for a wee while yet then replace it with the O three, maybe next year........the Otter Britanic looks good though............mmmm!!!!!! |
