Or the wrong size

I did???

Whats to know? Its a dry bag not a car or other complex item

There is nothing to look for in particular. My 2p is get a diving M8 to look at the suit and see if its a complete dog. Id be more than willing to help if you like.

Boot size should be max one size bigger than our feet then all you need to know is the hight and weight of the owner or you need to look at the standard size chart for you chosen suit. Id go for at least one leg pocket.

THATS IT

You then have two choices.

Go for flavor of the month brands like the 02 R200I and spend a shed load on a virtually guaranteed winner.

OR

Go for a cheep lesser brand for £100 -£200 and take a chance on a cheep but functional suit. Worst case is new wrist and neck seals cost £80

When i started diving dry, Northern Diver, Typhoon and Polar Bear were the must have suits.

Now its DUI, 03, Santi, Protec and Otter Britannic

Look out for Otter Skins I think they are better than the Britannic. Typhoon Hammond, Polar Bear are all great suits.

As for a dry suit course? live a little and piss aboput on the 6m ledge at Stony till your sorted. When you can do forward and backward somersalts your ready to do a proper dive.

Smile Stayed with wetsuit

All the advice was greatly appreciated

And i got a 7mm Waterproof Aries semi-dry. I had my first dives of the year a couple of weeks ago at falmouth, big thumbs up!. 10deg water and i was as snug as a bug in a particularly warm fireside rug. Love the suit so much i don't want to take it off!.
