My Polar Bears is watertight, flexible, lightweight and dries very quickly.

It's OK. I MIGHT buy another. But their customer service was shite when I needed it. My previous suit was an O'3, so I was used to the best service anybody could possibly ask for.

If only O'3 made a membrane...

Hmmm have totted up all the options I want on the Seaskin site and it's £550. Might be worth a visit next time I'm Leeds way. There was worryingly no measurement for "large overhanging beer belly" so a bit of personal measuring might be advisable.

Plus Leeds is a hell of a lot closer than Portland or Cornwall.

Customer Service at Seaskin is great as long as you don't rely on email. if you ever have an issue just phone them and they will sort it out fast. They are incredibly flexible in terms of making what you want, positioning pockets where they suit you etc. and they won't charge extra to cover your belly, well they didn't charge for covering mine anyway.

Hmmmm might have to reserve judgement until they see the belly.

I was measured at seaskin and it covers my belly perfectly. Can't fault it at all, it's quite interesting seeing all the stuff they are making up there. I was able to try all the seals and boots etc beforethe suit was made up.

Hmm,

Seaskin, Lets see - Suit leaked when I got it cos there is a known issue with the design when pressure tested.

Suit leaked on IDC in Malta - holes in it (not from me cos I'm a wimp where suits are concerned, and was in the same area as the first leaks).

Suit returned again, leaking from cuff and from low pressure inflate.

Sent it back again with a note saying that I wasn't going to bother any further with it, as it had leaked on most of the 25 dives or so I had had the bloody thing for.

No contact at all from seaskin.

Forgive me if I think that they are not actually perfect. Personally I think that £600 for a mtm suit that lasts less than 30 dives is a bit shite, so can't really recommend them.

Now my new Waterproof Draco - guess what, its dry!!
