I have a 4th Element rash vest cost me £25 and a 2.5mm 4th element top, I wear the 2.5mm under my 5mm suit - dived Red Sea last Feb went up towards the Suez water temp was 19 deg C wore my hood and 3mm gloves.

When we came back down to dive the Ghannis D etc temp went up to 23 deg C - nice and warm!

Dont bother going way up North to the so called new discovered wrecks - very dissapointing!! - they are sticking out the water!! Hardly new!!

JamesG saw the sea in a book once
I use an O'three shortjohn, makes a lot of difference (O'Three - 2mm Deepskin Shortjohn). I'd take a drysuit though

In Jan I'd go for the drysuit option too... but then I like being toasty. I got a 2mm neoprene vest off fleabay for about a tenner a couple of years ago...it does the job nicely under a 5mm down to about 21 degrees (with hood) after that I would go dry.

You are welcome to borrow my neo vest (40" chest) if you want.

Blue water diving on flea bay do a 2.5mm neoprene vest very cheap. I use one under a 5mm oceanic wet suit

no way done many dives in sharm in jan never ever took a drysuit...never cold in the water its just back on the boat with the wind chill factor.....i dunno some people would take central heating under with them if they could !!!!!!

That's the point.. dive dry, jump out of suit in t-shirt and shorts... make the tea for the shivvery ones at the back!!

Central heating a bit heavy - how about ready-brek - central heating for (big) kids?!!

Seriously - I take a few cup-a-soups for after diving...much better than a nescafe or liptons tea.
