| New Dryglove system? Popper into Seaskin today to get a few things sorted on my new suit and enquired whilt their about fitted drygloves as the website says they fit the SI-Tech system. Richard said they were chaging as the retro fit of the SI tech wasnt that good. He says these guys at a recent trade show: DRYGLOVE And had a set their to try. They work on a smilar principle to Woz's cuff ring system but a little more complex. No gluing is required, all the sealing is done by 2 O rings and they dont damage the wrist seal. They leave the seal intact and can be used with wet gloves. Finally donning and doffing the gloves takes about 10 seconds per glove. Very impressive - they were about 40 Euros for a set. They come with a crack industrial black marrigold, but Seaskin had fitted a nordic blue which worked better. You dont seem to be able to order from their website, so I'm asking Richard to sort me a set. I'll let you know how they fare.

| I dont reckon Paul. I tried to pull them off by pulling at the glove and it wouldnt budge - their is a knack to doffing them and that is manuipulating them in the right place - not something that could happen whilst diving by accident - IMO.

| I have a set which i haven't yet attached to my dry suit. For no particular reason other than i haven't got round to it.

| They look similar in design to the ones Stoney used to (still do?) sell - just push the glove on, and pull at the right angle with enough force to pop it off again. David |

| They look very similar to my Typhoon Dry Gloves. Same o-ring mounting system to the dry suit, leaving the suit's seals intact and useable with wet gloves. Same single o-ring docking system. Mine have been fine so far and they fit together firmly. There is a knack to getting them off - you have to brace the main ring firmly against yourself and pull off at the far side (i.e. pulling towards yourself) - I can't see them being knocked off accidentally since the flexibility of the suit allows the two parts to move together. In the event of water getting in, which hasn't happened yet, your wrist seals are still there to prevent a major flood. Cheers Rich |
