Gaz

You have to be bulked up to some degree whether you have neo or membrane. There is also the issue of how tight you run the suit. I was lways taught tight and in a neoprene suit it became very restrictive.

I have now changed to membrane.

The most important thing is that it is cut and fitted correctly, rarely achievable OffThePeg I think .... I use a membrane at the moment and would not change it .... I am bulked up with layers over winter but still manage to perform shutdowns and as an example did over 70 mins in just under 5degC water.....though hands were chilly at the end.

As a general view on all such matters, people will recommend what they have ... I think it's worth understanding why the ones that have changed did that and whether thei circumstances apply to you.

As well as Seaskin there is Protec or possibly Polar Bears in the sort of price bracket you are talking of.

I have bought cars for less, and very nearly bought a house for less than that 15 years ago .

Take a look at the Polar Bear Explorer, would do the same job as the dui but not the price.

I use a voyager, a great suit for moveablity due to the extra panels in the cut. As to the original question their Atlantis will fit the bill well.

Don't know if they have an Irish measurer but they will talk you through the pocess.

No, there are a lot of very satisfied customers which is why Otter sell a lot of suits.
I bought mine on a personal recommendation and it's been very good.
